It's really about volume and experience. Think about it — doctors in England or Australia might see 5, 6, maybe 10 patients a day if they're very busy, right?

In China, one doctor might see 50 patients a day. Just one doctor. Every single day.

So it's just experience. After you've done a procedure hundreds or thousands of times, you get really, really good at it. Practice makes perfect.

And the technology is incredibly efficient. The equipment, especially in imaging, robotics, and advanced technologies — China has invested massively. Sometimes they have tech that's newer than what you'd find in Western hospitals.

There are lots of websites advertising medical tourism to China. What's different about Corporation China Investment Group?

Yeah, look, there are websites where you click a couple of buttons and they say, "Come to China, we'll help you." But a lot of those services have problems.

First, there's the English-Chinese language barrier — that's a massive issue if you don't have proper translation and cultural understanding.

25 RMB! Then if you need X-rays, maybe another 100-250 RMB. If there's an operation, it could be more, but still so much cheaper than anywhere else.

And these doctors might do 50 operations of that type per day. You're number 20 in the queue, but there are 30 more patients coming in. So, practice makes perfect.

What about the concern that doctors might profit from prescribing unnecessary medications?

That's actually one of the best things about the Chinese system. It's against the law for doctors to make money from prescribing medicine in China. It's illegal.

So they won't prescribe anything just to profit. That's actually a really good thing. In some Western countries, there's concern about pharmaceutical kickbacks. That doesn't happen in China — at least not legally, and the penalties are severe.

The doctors make their money from their salary and performing procedures, not from prescription kickbacks. So you can trust that if they're recommending treatment, it's because you actually need it.

Tell us about some of the unique medical capabilities you've seen in China.

You can do stem cell treatments here that you cannot do in many other countries. Certain regenerative therapies, advanced procedures that haven't been approved yet in the US or Europe — they're available here, done safely, done well.

I remember one lady who asked me for help. I took her to Zhengzhou in Henan Province, where a very good friend of mine works as a nurse. She introduced us to a doctor there.

The operation they did was quite simple for this doctor. But no one else in the world could do it — or at least, she'd tried everywhere else and been turned down. This doctor in China knew exactly how to do it. And it worked perfectly.

So it's really about getting in front of the right doctor, getting to know them, and being in China where these options exist.

A major surgery that costs $100,000 in the US might cost $15,000-$20,000 in China. Same procedure, same technology, same outcome. Often done by a doctor who's performed it 10 times more often than the American surgeon.
